  1. i am currently using an athlon xp2000 with 512mb of ram and 2 7200rpm hard drives. Why when trying to use dvd2one do i get processing times of 130mins? i am using one drive as the source and the other as the destination. Has anybody else had this problem and what did you do?

Have you ripped the DVD to the hard drive first?

    Regards,

    Rob

EDIT - sorry, didn't read your 2 drive comment.

Have all the files been ripped?

  3. yeah ripped with both smartripper and dvddecrypter. both the main movie disc, and when put through dvd2one have selected the ac3 6channel english soundtrack and english subtitles. The films i have tried are about 7-9gig when ripped from the disc. I am a bit concerned because a mate of mine has a duron 1200 with half the ram i have and run a dvd through dvd2one on the same drive and it took 40mins. Can't understand it

  4. That time is way too long. How many movies have you tried?

As you can tell from my pofile, my system is slower than yours and it never takes over 25 minutes to create the VIDEO_TS folder.

I would probably pose this question to the DVD2One technical support.

I'm a bit stumped as to what the cause could be. DVD2ONE usually converts in max 20 min for me. Are both HD defragmented, adn do you have a separate partition for the OS?

  6. You need to rip the WHOLE DVD to your HD in "File" Mode on DVD Decrypter, not just the main movie.

DVD2ONE pretty much messes up if you just feed it the main movie...

My drives are configured in a RAID array and average DVD2one time is about 17 min with the quickest being 9 min. My CPU is not as fast as yours but I have twice as much RAM. Have never made anything but "movie only" with both DVDdcrypter and Smart Ripper and no problems at all. Smart ripper doesn't select the ifo file and you must check it. DVDdcrypter selects all you need. Make sure not to allow angle processing in either as DVD2one takes care of that itself. Most importantly, 100% success rate and burn wi Nero.
