  1. I have been trying to rip "The Fast and The Furious" on SmartRipper and keep getting the commentary of the director. A person on this forum was helping and suggested using IFOedit to help get rid of the commentary. I downloaded the newest version (v95) and began to use it. I opened VOB Extras and chose my IFO. Then I clicked "ok" and chose the sound I wanted. I clicked "ok" again and selected all the VOB files. I clicked "ok" yet again and the process started. As soon as the little progress box came up WinXP told me there was a problem with the program and that I would have to shut it down. I looked at what file it said was causing the problem and it stated "ifoedit.exe".

Anyone know how to get around this?

I had ripped the movie without streamprocessing.

    Thanks for the help.

  2. Hmm? I use IFOEdit in winXP all the time no problem. However the order of your steps is a little off and that could be the problem:

    1) Rip the ENTIRE DVD to the HD. In smartripper this can be done in backup mode. Copy all the files (VIDEO_TS and all VTS_XX files).

    2) Run IFOEdit

    3) Open the VTS_XX.ifo file with the main movie

    4) Look in the IFOEdit dialog box at the PCG (program chain) with the main movie. Note the VOB IDs that contain the main movie.

    5) Click on VOB Extras

    6) Selecet the language/subtitles you want to keep the VOB IDs of the main movie

    7) After that finishs click on 'get VTS Sectors'

Now you're done. This will generate a new VIDEO_TS foler which you can burn. There's a guide for all this at:

    http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-menustripping.htm

This will contain ONLY the main movie (as that's the only VOB IDs you choose).
