  1. Is there any way to directly convert .vob files ripped from a DVD to windows media format? I have movie maker2. The only way I could figure, with my limited knowledge, was to change the vobs to mpeg with TMPenc then use Movie Maker to convert to Windows media format. Is there a utility out there to do a direct conversion? The method I described above takes quite awhile and I still have to join the movies. I should get a reduction in size just converting windows format and don't need to use TMPenc. I'm not going to burn it to CD, I have a DVD burner. I would like to keep a good level of quality.

    Thanks In Advance

You could use a Video Server plugin. You load your vob files in TMPGEnc as you normally do, then instead of saving it with the encoding settings, you frameserve it with these settings directly into Movie Maker.
    Hello.
