Does anybody know if the 634 is noisy? I´m playing dvd`s on my xbox but the fans are to damn noisy so I have to get a real dvd-player (a quiet one).

I've had one of these players for a couple of months now and I'm very happy with it. It plays anything I put in it, I've also been making XSVCD's with a maximum bitrate of 6000kb/s at 720x480 resolution and it plays them flawlessly, and to answer your question. Yes it is a very quiet machine.
Don't delay buy one today.

I have the 634 and it is great! Plays anything, almost vinyl LP's
. Seriously I'm very happy with it, I have tried DVDs, VCDs, SVCDs, CDs, MP3 CDs (PAL and NTSC discs from region 1 & 2) and havnen't had any problems at all. It is very quiet although when the disc is first loading there is a slight whirring? noice, but not at all as noisy as a DVD-ROM on a PC. Only drawback is that you can't eject the disc with the remote meaning that you have to get up out of the coucht to change discs
In Sweden there are some good deals to be found on it at the moment, I bought mine for 1500 SEK at the Elgiganten store and they made it region free without charge. So my recomendations is a "strong buy"! Good luck and best regards Lars
