  1. Hey,

I have some divx movies which i want to put on a dvd+r so my dvd player can read it. But how do i do this? Do i first have to convert it to svcd or something? Please explain. My goal is to let my dvd player see it as an svcd, but because the dvd is like 6 times the capacity of a normal cd, i thought maybe i can put multiple movies on it, for example 3 movies on 1 dvd+r

  2. I have put 2 DivX movies onto a single DVD-R by resizing and encoding them to MPEG2 using TMPGEnc or CCE. The results have been very good as well.

    Tools used:
    TMPGEnc or CCE
    DVD Maestro
    Powerbit for bitrate calcs

I simply convert to 2 separate streams (M2V and MP2) ensuring that the bitrates are set so that each movie only uses 50% of the disk space. I then add them as 2 separate movies into DVD Maestro, add chapter points and make a simple menu for selecting the film I want to watch.

You can do the same thing with 3 movies but the quality will obviously suffer.
