  1. Hello all...

I need help configuring PowerVCR's capture settings. I have tried custom settings, but still had problems when capturing to MPEG2. I can't get anything from it...I can view the file in PowerVCR but TMPGenc, VirtualDub, etc. can't use the files.

The program is nice and I'd like to use it some.

    Thanks,
    Dale

If you can view the file w/ PVCR but not in TMPGenc/VDUB, you have to have MPEG2 decoder in your rig.

    1) You can install PowerDVD or the TMPGenc MPEG2 plugin to be able to open your captured files in TMPGenc.

    or

    2) Use VDUB_MPEG2 to open your captured files. I think there's a link under the TOOLS section.

    hope this helps

  3. Thanks Paulgab...

I didn't know about those tools.

That worked, and I've been editing my Pro Bowl recording from Sunday.

I will say this though...the PowerVCR quality could definitely be better. It's a nice interface and all, but if I were going to want to keep something, I would not use this program to record it.
