Hey,
I have a problem. I have this dvd that has been made by a standalone recorder on dvd-r. The dvd has about 7 pre-made chapters but I would like to chance these and make my own from the bottom( Merge the existing and create new).
So far I have used DVDDecrypter and have a to VOB files on my harddrive.
Currently I'm using Ulead Moviefactory, but here I can only make new chapters within the existing chapters( can't merge the existing).
Furthermore I'm having another problem because this program apparently doesn't support ac-3 audio. What can I do?
Hope you guys can help me, thanks,
Kenneth

There is a way to create chapters into the movie using IFOEdit. Apparently, while you select the video and audio streams, you can also select an ASCII file with chapter information. I have seen a sample and it is merely a list of chapter times in the format hh:mm
s
I use scenarist to author and it is relatively easy to create chapters. One just positions the timeline pointer to a point and clicks a button. Precice positioning is not possible but exact timing is available by editing the time of the chapter.
What I have not been able to do is navigate through the chapters via a menu. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
