I don't visit the forum for a few days and all this shit happens...
Yes you are right! And the exisiting moderators are all fine individuals that discharge their duty with care. What you may or may not know is that KingJohn was once a moderator of this site... but not for long. His first exit from this forum was in similar style to this time... essentially being unable to accept any criticism or even (quite valid) suggestings to his postings. He is, and remains, the only moderator to have DELETED a posts because someone (correctly) disagreed with his erroneous information.Originally Posted by Silky31
A quick trip to the "closed" topics folder would prove this incorrect (though I suppose you will have to take my word for it as ordinary members can't visit there). The only posts that are deleted are those that violate forum rules (and they are clearly marked). Indeed, KingJohn was the ONLY moderator who ever deleted a post because someone disagreed with his opinion at that time....at that time the moderators were deleting posts when someone like me fought back against their sly remarks.
Somewhat contradictory heh? In fact, the only posts that were deleted at this time by the other moderators were double posts. The "culture" then was to "lock" unsavoury posts because to "delete" a thread caused it to disappear altogether (this was before the introduction of a "Closed" threads forum). KingJohn was and remains the only moderator who deleted posts that he found "personally" disagreeable. At the time Baldrick blamed a lot of it on me, and remove the ability to delete posts from everyone. But the moderators have a private room, and in there I accused them all of deleting posts and following me around trying to pick faults. At the time I joined the group it was a "Closed shop" nobody was allowed to voice their opinion against what they were doing.
This is lie. None of the other moderators have used "other usernames". The truth is that many other experienced members disliked KingJohn as well (during that period) and voiced their displeasure. It is all quite clear. I and other moderators when having an argument with KingJohn have no problem using our own usernames... and we don't edit/delete our posts afterwards which KingJohn has done on multiple occasions. So for more than a year I have put up with abuse by them, oh and they also use other usernames to come in to cause arguments.
Indeed, the "straw the broke the camels back" this time is because he deleted/re-edited his abusive posts to make himself look the victim.
If you look at KingJohn's OLDER guides (i.e., before his recent return) it becomes quite obvious that his gets mortally offended whenever someone offers an alternate opinion. This is his concept of "someone has a go at me". Not surprisingly, when he then becomes unreasonably abusive, the other mods/admin steps in.So after a while it becomes them and me !. When ever someone has a go at me, baldric sits on his ass and does nothing, he waits until I get really fed up and then has a go at me.
Yes, we had a good laugh. And a sigh of relief too. KingJohn had basically become a pain in the arse. The current decision ot ban him outright has not been a knee-jerk reaction. The question of whether or not we should ban him had been brought up and discussed on and off for weeks. You have to take into consideration the long term abuse I have had from these people, when I quit being a moderator, they all had a good laugh, they did post a lot of messages in the hidden topics, but I have a few loyal friends who passed them on.
Actually, they would been removed if asked. In any case, VCDHELP.com is in no obligation to remove them as all his guides are basically posted re-iterations of PUBLIC DOMAIN knowledge. So they want to fight rough... So can I, today my lawyer issued a notice to vcdhelp to remove all my copyright guides within 7 days, and as you can see they have now been removed.
He had been warned. The Two Towers has not been released in any shape or form as a consumer disc product. To state ownership of a digital copy implied piracy. Also in this forum, you only had to say "The Two Towers", and you had everyone of those jump on you...
"DVDRHELP.com" has been registered for a very long time. If anything, the recent change had nothing to do with KingJohn in so much as the recent LARGE poll that showed that about a 1/3 of all people on this forum made home made discs on DVDR rather than S/VCD.I told Baldric 1 month ago that is site was going down hill, especially with people making more and more DVD's, it was not long before he responded with the dvdrhelp...
Unfortunately, large number of posts are meaningless if you are abusive, an egoist and flout the rules of the forum. KingJohn was justly banned. You would have thought that a long standing member who has made so many posts, would get a bit more respect from these idiots, but unless you suck up to them, you will be outlawed.
Regards.
