    I am currently running vegas video 3.0 on windows xp pro and i cann't get the exteral monitor preview to work... i have a monitor hooked up to my vid card (radieon 7500) and i am just stumped on what to do...
    i press the external preview button then the video devices tab comes up and i select video for windows and nothing has happened...
    ... please help.....

    its for a DV monitor .. i.e. a DV to video convertor or the vid out on your dv camcorder . the preview out only works thorugh the firewire port

    Does that mean that i cannot sent it thorugh my video card?? it supports dual displays and i just wanted one display to be for the preview in vegas...
