  1. I have a divx file that is 740 mb, can i get this file to fit on a 80 min cd?

    Yes, and it wouldn't require any overburning either.

    An 80 minute CD-R can fit up to 800MB without overburning. Check out this guide to learn more about the data capacity's of CD-R's:

  4. No, not without overburning and 40MB is a lot of overburning. You can try a 90min or 99min CDR.

    DivX files are burnt as normal Mode1 data. In mode1 an 80min CDR holds 700MB of data. x(S)VCDs are burnt in mode2. In mode2 an 80min CDR holds 800MB of data.
