I have one marriage vhs cassete which i want to capture and convert to VCD.
I am useing ATI AIW PRO and Ulead Video studio for capturing the video.

2. What format i can capture the video. AVI OR MPEG.
3. what is the best format and compression settings for video and audio.
Thanks,

Hello,
I'm capturing for output to dvd now (720 x 576), but when I was creating vcd I prefered Virtualdub to capture using the PicVideo codec (full quality) at 352 x 288, cd quality audio compression capturing to avi and converting (sorry, encoding!) to vcd mpeg with TMPGEnc (free from www.tmpgenc.net).
I then used Ulead Movie Factory to add menu's and chapters.
Not an exhaustive guide but should start you on your way
Check out my computer profile to see how your system compares (I'm also using an ATI card although mine is the ViVi 64mb DDR which, for the £25 I paid brand new could possibly be the best hardware investment I ever made!)
Good luck.
Willtgpo, my real dad, told me to make a maximum of 5,806 posts on vcdhelp.com in one lifetime. So I have.
