i'm sure this won't be much help mate, but i personally find that the nemo codec pack causes more problems than it solves. were you using nemo successfully before your reformat?
cheers,

Have you re-installed the O/S? Remember, 98 can only read files upto 4GB, have you ripped the dvd into larger than 4GB running Win98?
If you're a 2000/XP user your ok and my little comment is nothing more than a red herring.........
...but yes! The Nimo Codecs pack cost me no end of troubles also, especially with Xvids.... -
Im using Win 2K
And yes before reformat, I using Nimo Codec too
So wat to do now?
Im really confused and its been my fifth day now
I know there are other way to use
But im already enjoy using virtualdub and frameserving to TMPGEnc
No one can help here ?
I really appreciate any suggestion here
Thanks alot -

your problem must be the version you are using in DVDAVI
i only use 1.76
with dvd2avi 1.77 or 1.86... never works
usually use
dvddecrypter 3....
dvd2avi 1.76
vdub1.14.or(vdub with suport for mp3/ac3 ) to frame serve to TMPG
or
avisynth (basics)
tmpg 2.5? some versions of tmpg donīt work for me
try and see

To King John :
I think u dont understand my problem
Or maybe i dont understand the guide
The problem is i cant open the fake avi in virtualdub
I rip the DVD using smartripper
Using DVD2 AVI save project
and use the VFAPICodecV105en to make fake avi
But cant open it in the VirtualDub
So i cant go on and it didnt say nothing
Only got VirtualDub error :
Cannot Determine file type of "bla bla bla...."
I already instal handler in VirtualDub
Somebody please help me
Thanks -
I just load the .d2v file and audio file in TMPGEnc. DVD2AVI is framserving the vob files to TMPGEnc.
May the force be with you. -
I need to edit using the VirtualDub
Add subtile, using the filter and so on
Thats why i need using VirtualDub -
Yes i do
I remove Nimo Codec now
Install :
DivX 311alpha
Divx 412
DivxPro 5.03
XVID codec
Thats all the codec i install
But still no luck till now
I really need all the suggestion
Thanks -
Found the solution. You must run first proxyoff.reg in the Virtualdub\aviproxy folder. This solves the problem.
Cheers
