  1. This is probably in one of the guides, but I cannot find it.

Recently changed my VFAPI plug-ins and screwd them all up. Now all my mpegs are invalid (or at least screwed up) when burning with Nero. MPEGs burn fine with VCDEasy, but when burnt with Nero, the result is an dat file with bad integrator. VCD says "strange (possibly non-compliant) user_data seen... (not a problem, usually a sign of TMPGEnc)", but burns it okay.

My version of TMPGenc (v2.54) does no offer the return to default setting. Can someone plz tell me what the defaults are???

    Here are my current settings:
DirectShow MultiMedia File Reader = 1
    AVI2 File Reader = 0
    BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG File Reader = 0
    Wave File Reader = 0
TMGEnc Project File Reader = 0
AVI VFW Compatible Reader = -2

Fully recognzie that there are MANY "good" settings, but these are screwed up and just need to get it workin again. Burning cds to check can be kinda expesive.

    Thanx

You need the Ligos, LSX MPEG Encoder Suite 2.0

  5. Why do I feel so stupid atm????

Although I dont think this is my real problem (see https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=141374), since I did not have the LSX MPEG Encoder installed, it seems like a good idea.

    BUT...
I installed LSX-MPEG Encoder V3.5 but it does not show up in TMGEnc. I could run it as an external tool, but it seems to me it should be recognized in the VFAPI Plug-ins. Tried installing it in the default dir as well as in my TMGEnc dir, but still not listed in TMGEnc.

Still playin with it, but as of yet, still not recognzied

  6. OK,

I've downloaded the .lzh file to install a file which allows me to read Mpeg2's into Tmpgenc, what programme do I use to open .lzh files? It will not open in Winzip.

Try Winrar, it opens everything. Available here: http://www.rarlab.com/

LZH gosh who is still using that ? that is an old compression, do a search for it, I have a copy on a disk somewhere..

However, TMPGEnc + will only work with 3 mpeg 2 filters. Sony,Cyberlink and Ligos. Ligos should show up no matter where you install it, maybe you need to re-install TMPGEnc.

The New TMPGEnc has problems with the cyberlink filter (Power DVD 4) Ligos works fine.

Ah yes, WinRAR will open LZH 8)

if all else fails, boot your sytem with a start-up disk, when you get an A:\>
type C: when you see this C:\> Type format c: ignore all warning messages there just BS
    this should clear everything up
