  1. I am trying to encode a DivX movie to VCD, with the framerate being 12.500 fps.

When I go to add the movie, the following error pops up:-

"File "C:\My Documents\My Videos\Die Another Day Part 1.avi" can not open, or unsupported."

Of course, when I go through the opening set up menu, I have the problem of which region to choose as there isn't for 12.500 fps.

Is there anything I can do?

    Please help.

    Many thanks in advance,
    Ronnie

  3. ronniejoice, WeBMaSTeR's right - you've probably not got the right codec.

I assume that you're talking about encoding the file with TMPGEnc.

You didn't say if you can play the file in Windows Media Player (or the DivX player etc..) If you cannot, then it's almlost certainly a codec issue.

Try downloading GSpot (in the tools section of this site) and loading your file into that - it should tell you exactly what codecs the .avi file is trying to use, and if you have the right ones installed on your system or not.

As for the framerate - if you just use TMPGEnc's wizards (assuming you're going for a standards-compliant VCD) TMPGEnc should sort this out for you.

    cheers,

    mcdruid.
