  1. I have a Sony DCR-TRV10 DV cam and i transfered via firewire card Pinnacle Studio DV8 using ScenalyzerLive and DVapp but when I watch the vid in full screen mode it's very pixelized and looks worst than if i had transfered the vid into a vhs. i want to burn it on a DVDR but if the i loss quality i don't see what's the interest... can somebody tell me why ? Is it my dv card ? Or should I use another software ?

    JiB,

It looks fine to me, those blurs you see are interlacing artifacts. Run a search on Interlacing on the forum for more information. By the way it looks like pretty good quality to me.

Couldn't agree more. remember JiB, a PC monitor is progressive, a TV is interlaced and DV is interlaced. As long as you encode it to mpeg-2 in interlaced mode and use a highish bitrate it should still look pretty good on your TV/DVD.
