  1. Hi,

I got some problems with TMPGEnc Plus 2.59.
For audio encoding I use tooLame and SSRC as external tools for TMPGEnc. Now, when I try to encode a wav or avi-sound to MP2 TMPGEnc (or better SSRC/tooLame) works fine. frequency conversion works great and tooLame starts normal. Now while tooLame is encoding an error occures saying: "g:\TMPGEncTemp\mpa2_.wav can not be found".

This is during the conversion process, so TMPGEnc or better tooLame "finds" it at the beginning. What is this? Although I can't say it only happens with some special files, because sometimes it works. But if one file gets this error there is no possibility to convert it.

    What can I do?????

I already tried tooLame and had lots of bad experience with it using in TMPGenc.
My AVI's are always without audio, so I 'feed' the WAVe seperately to TMPGenc (load in as seperate audio file when loading a video).
I keep the encoding to mp2 do using the internal mp2-encoder of TMPGenc.
Despite some people claims otherwise, I don't think the results of the internal mp2-encoder of TMPGenc isn't that bad! It actually is very acceptable, if not great.

Using my mentioned method, the audio is encoded and included in the entire movie, not (when using external tools like tooLame) at the beginning of the MPeG.
Just be sure you 'feed' a 44.1Khz (16bit) audio, if you're creating a (S)VCD, it seems that TMPGenc cannot do that right...

  3. Thx,
I found another way do encode it right.
I use BeSweet with all external tools (SSRC, tooLAME, LAME, ...)
It makes a good sound-file and isn't that hard to handle.

I use external tools, coz I have Cinema Craft Encoder to encode videos...

    Anyway, thx for your reply!!!
