XDVD?? Picture high res. bad??

I was wondering ...now a days when i am downloading movies, i had 2 movies that have this green screen at the beginnning...and when you play it ..it plays fine...and the quality seems high resolution and it really looks like a dvd screener but then these pixels (squares) start showing up..and like following the movement of the screen typoe thing..and the figures turn into this clear color...kinda lucid.

Does any body here know what i am talking about..is there some kind of special codec i need to download...i mean i have the full nimo codec package...and have all the codecs...but am i missing something?

I had AP goldmember before and i deleted due to this, but now i have road to perdition...maybe giving you whgat the properties says may help ...it says it is a MPEG file..696 mb....but could it be a Xdvd..and if so what is it and what do i do...its pretty frustrating!!
