  1. hi can any one tell me were i can get a freeware player to play my SVCD/VCDs i have the mpeg2 codec installed but i hate playin them in win media player my OS is win98 any help will be great

    PowerDVD is a great software player for playing SVCD/VCD.

  6. nate_000, have you had a look in the tools section of this site?

    I like the 'I-VCD Player', because it's really lightweight (I think it'll play whatever your WMP will - it picks up the same codecs for MPEG2 etc..). It's pretty simple, but good, if that's what you're looking for.

    There are quite a few other freeware players there to choose from though - I've not tried any of them, as I've got WinDVD and PowerDVD, but I'm sure you'll find something there that does what you're after.
