I am capturing with a sony trv-18 with a firewire card to a 200 gig, 8mg cache drive dedicated to video.
When I am capturing, I am getting tons of dropped frames. It seems like I am getting 50 at a time.
The unusual thing is that prior to this, I was using an analog camcorder and passing it through my sony trv-18 and had maybe 3 dropped frames in 40 minutes. Now that I am capturing directly, the dropped frames are ridiculous. I have experience the dropped frames in Pinnacle 7.15 and capturing in Ulead Vid. Studio 6.
I have a P4, 1.6 gig, 528 ram. Please help. Thank you.
