I ripped the appropriate vob file (5 min clip), created a d2v project, then on TMPEG, I ran an inverse telecine and a framerate catcher as well as fiddling with some configurations. Then I saved the project as a tpr file. I converted the tpr file to a project avi file using VFAPI. Then when I open Virtualdub and open my project avi file, I have no visual. What did I do wrong?

  2. Dunno man..I have a similar prob...I ripped at 23.98 fps to make a d2v, ran VFAPI on that, loaded it into Vdub, and it works fine....However, if I take the same steps with a .vob ripped at 29.97 fps, wrap it with VFAPI, Vdub tells me it doesnt suport that file format???...that one has me puzzled...because I can load both into Adobe & frame erve from it just fine.....I want to use Vdub, because it appears to have better video editing features on its frame serve options than Adobe...if I am wrong, PLEASE, please corect me....Im trying to really see if CCE TRULY produces a better quality than TMPG..so far I have been not impressed by CCE.

I am learning about IVTC (Inverse telecine). My friend said change the FPS to 29.97 before you do IVTC, then after it's done, change back to 23.96. Save as tpr, use VFAPI to create project avi file, but VirtualDub will not show the visual of the project avi file. So maybe I should leave the FPS alone...
