The only way I have been able to "abridge" my mpeg2 files captured in ATI MMC was to go into TMPGEnc and go to -->MPEG TOOLS & pull the file in on the last tab. It lets me pull the file in, but now when I click the "edit" button I get the error above.
It worked fine before, and I didn't (knowingly) install any new software. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I looked it up, and the only thing I found was to set the "directshow" priority to 1 or 2 in the options. I did that, and it still doesn't work.
I don't have mp2edit or womble or any of the other proggies that allow you to edit, this was my only outlet. . .
Please help!
Thanks!

"directshow" priority wont have any effect in there, can you load them into TMPGEnc as if you were going to convert them ? Perhaps convert them for a few minuets then test that in the Merge&Cut ?
