  1. i downloaded a divx movies and it has 2 parts each of them is 700mb and i join it with virtualdub so it came out with 1.4gb the thing i dont get is how come it has such big size file compare other movies i have in my hard drive
    is anybody know how to shrink it and doesnt loase lots of quality thanks

    It's probably a DVD-Rip as almost all DVD Rips are 700MB. :P

  3. only way to lower the size is to lower the bitrate. By lowering the bitrate you WILL lose quality. How long is the movie? If it's a long movie, then trying to fit it onto 700mb may not be the best thing to do, since you'll have to drastically lower the bitrate.

    If you lower the bitrate your going to have to re-encode which means a loss of quality.

    You could download a DivX calculator to find the average bitrates that you want your files to be.

  7. ok heres the other movie i have that is over 2 hours..... the bit rate is lower
    but the quality seems good.....ans why is that??
