  4. Ummmm no you cant delete the VOBs!!...

the d2v is the framserving file that reference the VOBs...look at the d2v file size..in the hundred kilobyte range right??..do you really think 1 GB worth fit into a file size that small??...LOL, no..you need to keep your VOBs until you have made mpgs out of them..

  5. kdiddy post was correct. DO NOT DELETE THE VOB FILES until you have your finished product.

  6. he said he had already converted over to an avi,and i was asuming he needed the hd space.i usely keep mine until i'm done but some don't have the space.

  7. if drive space is the concern, then i would encode 1 vob file at a time. each time you do 1 then delete it off.

  8. He said nothing about already converting to .avi...he said he use the program DVD2AVI to CONVERT to wav & d2v.....it doesnt appear that english is your primary language, so you might want to refrain from giving advice...not trying to be mean, but now he will probably have to rerip the DVD again, provided he still has it and hasnt taken it back to the video store just yet..

  9. my point was THE FINISHED PRODUCT. after it has been CONVERTED then ENCODED you can delete that 1 vob file. as long as your satisfied with that 1 files finished product. NOTE the keywords "1" and "ENCODED", and "FINISHED PRODUCT".
