Ulead DVD MovieFactory and Menu (Titles) Question.

I authored and burn a home DVD movie containing six segments (or titles) of about 1-hour total using Ulead DVD MovieFactory. The segements were encoded using TMPGEnc Plus. I used one of their "cute" templates for the menu and thumbnails (the movie is of my son's 2-year birthday party). The first segment or title is a short intro followed by four 15-minutes segments followed by a short ending. Here is my problem. When I play the home DVD in my Toshiba and hit play it plays the first segment and then goes back to the main menu. I can play any of the six segments but at the end of each segment it goes back to the main menu. I want to be able to hit play and play from beginning to end or hit segment three (for example) and play from there to the end. In the playback simulation mode in Ulead if I hit play it will transition from segment to segment without going back to the main menu. However, if I select a given segment and hit enter it plays that segment and goes back to the main menu. Is there anyway to get it transition from segment ot segment? Thanks.

Under project settings you can set the options after finfished playing, from memory it gives the option of returning to the menu or playing the next clip. This is in MF2, I don't know about MF1.

I'm version 1 ... I don't see any setting's tab ... Am I missing something or does version 1 not have this option?

Hi.
May be, your setting is in Menu Step, when you set for manu and background. I think you choosed "select background image linked to manu", plz try to set "select backgruond linked to clip", maybe it will be ok. My English is not good, so I can't tell you all about it, hope that will help you.

Tony08 thanks for your reply. Maybe I'm just flat out missing something but in menu setup but I don't see any options for "select background menu linked to menu", "select background linked to clip", or any options. What obvious thing am I missing here? Thanks again. I'd apperciate any help from anyone on solving this ... This is just bugging me to no end.

to my knowledge you cannot do this in moviefactory 1. only in 2 in 1 you have to push the little triangle play button at the bottom in order to play through. yes it sucks

Hi rkr1958,

Have the exact same problem with ULEAD DVD-Studio. I have checked all settings but it looks as if there is no way to overrule this. I am also creating my MPEGs with TMPEG-encoder. I have tried to create one MPEG with it's MERGE function to avoid the problem, but then I ran into audio/video sync problem.
Any help would be appreciated very much !!
