converting to avi or divx

I didn't know where else to put this question. I hope this is the right place. I have been trying to convert my vob files to an avi. I have been using easy divx. All seems fine except that the audio is out of sync each and everytime. I was wondering what other programs is out there for doing this sort of thing, that doesn't take a degree to learn. Thanks.

use the new MPEG-2 virtuyal dub plugin. it makes Virtualdub load vob files, m2v files, and other MPEG-2 file formats. read this guide (http://www.vcdhelp.com/avi2divx.htm) but the MPEG-2 version of virtualdub, http://es.geocities.com/dextstuff/#VirtualDub
