Recently I have downloaded a Xvid movie from the net which has AC3 audio. I scan the avi for bad frames and 1 bad frame and 55 unencodeble frames were detected so i decided to strip the audio first using virtualdub before fixing the avi to avoid the audio sync problem I will later encounter while encoding it to mpg.

I got an error that I can strip the audio with virtuadub cause the compresssion is not compatible with the input format. Then I decided to strip the audio without converting and then renaming the wav to ac3 and using headac3he to convert it to a wav just like King John's guide.

It worked but after doing until 40% headac3he says that the audio frame is bad and then conversion will fail.

Can anyone please help me cause I realy want to burn this movie on a vcd cause it has great quality and I want to burn it without significant quality loss.[/img]

If your AC3 audio is bad then you can fix it with a tool called ac3fix which you can find in the tool menu.

I have never done used it before so I donīt know if it work but itīs worth a try.
