  1. Have an asf file that plays fine in mediaplayer. Attempting to convert to vcd/svcd. Here problem:

VitualDub: ACM failed to suggest an audio decompression format
Audio compression listed as Unknown by VirtualDub

TMPEnc: With DirectShow MutiMedia File Reader set to 1/2 and with external TooLame applied.
Takes forever to make the temporal wav file (like over 1 hr for a 300mb file) and then goes into error - unable to open wav file.

Any advice on how to get the audio out? Have look over most tutorials, searched, etc.

    Thanx

  2. Damn, have to answer my question again.

Have no idea what type of audio this thingy is (was) but Sound Forge 6.0 extracted it into a wav file (only thing I found that could do it). TMGEnc then encoded it fine. Probably pure luck, but it even ended up in sync!
