In my experience, when there are two versions, regular is on one side and widescreen the other. This may or may not be the case for yours.

Mileage does vary, some restrictions do apply, void where prohibited.

    regards

  4. the easiest way to check which vob's are which is to open an individual vob in a player like powerdvd it will play the sepparate file and you can see what format you have, you have also check the video_ts file to see which format is which as well

the only problem with this, is when i play it in WinDVD, sometimes the VOB comes out looking the same for both the fullscreen and widescreen...i don't know why, but i'll try again

  6. @pimp97max, it is very simple to tell which version of the movie you are looking at and want to keep. There are several ways that I have personally gone about this, but I can tell you that from my experience, DVD Decryptor almost always seems to, in that situation, select the widescreen version's main PGC. If you want the widescreen version, then all you have to do is keep what DVD Decryptor selects. If not, then just get the next longest PGC, and that will be the full screen. If you want to be 100% sure though, just open up IFOEdit and selct the main .IFO file. You don't need to rip a single thing to check this out. Just analyze the disk, find the TWO MAIN PGC's and check each of the two main movies main .IFO file. IFOEdit will tell you which ones move attributes are 16:9, and which are 4:3. It is very simple.

  7. I agree with checking the ifo files. I have noticed that the widescreen tends to be smaller overall than fullscreen, not by much maybe 100 megs or so. You will notice this in the last vob file in each main movie titleset. This may help you pick the smaller corresponding ifo first to verify.

There is no way to tell solely by file size. The movie Wan Wilder, NTSC has both versions on the same disk and the full screen version is much smaller then the widescreen version. The best bet is to check two simple .IFO files and see which movie attibutes are full screen and which are widescreen.
