  1. Hello!

I was never able to view any SVCD mpgs that I downloaded from the web on my Mac. I run OS 9.2.2 and OSX 10.2.3 and I can't view them in both. Shouldn't they open in quicktime???

Do I have to get some plugin to read them? or is it simply impossible to read SVCD mpgs on a Mac? Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong please?

    Thanks!

Quicktime can't read MPEG2 (it might work with some kind of a plugin though,) But VideoLan might be able to play it.

Yes, use VideoLan Client to play your SVCDs for free. You can search versiontracker.com for it...
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."

  5. quicktime can't play mpeg2 files unless you purchase the optional mpeg2 component.. which i think is like $30 or something.

but yeah Videolan Client (VLC) can play them, and it's a free download.
