My player is an RCA RC5240P. This problem occurs regardless of CD-R/RW brand or the bit rate of the files. I have tried burning in MODE 1 and MODE 2 with no luck. If this is something I will have to live with can anyone recommend a tool to put a small gap at the beginning of the files to compensate for this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Justin Ward

  2. The RCA RC5240P is made by Shinco.

All Shinco-built players have that problem, and there's no known way to fix it without actually modifying the files themselves (as you suggested.)

    Sorry.

  3. The Sampo DVD players also have this problem, which can be eliminated by removing ID3V2 tags from the MP3 files.
