    I managed to convert Mpeg1 (Mpg1?) to Divx5.0.3 avi (finally!). While setting the video compression in VirtualDub, there is a tab called "Profile". Does anyone know what this tab is for? I can not tell if it does anything other than verify the frame size and rate.

    I used the resize filter to shrink the file so I have no clue what (if anything) this does.
