  1. Hi
I have a question. I have a standalone DVD player. It plays both region 1 and 2 (and it is also region free). I live in Europe. Is it possible to play a DVD region 1 (where it says US and Canada only) on my DVD player? My TV also only plays PAL. It's because I can't buy this DVD where I live. It's a DVD with Buffy The Vampire Slayer First season, here is a link : http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005221I/qid=1043864579/sr=2-2/ref=sr_2_2/103...252190-1744621
    Thanks for any help
    Sara

  2. It is possible. Did you check if your player is liested here ? What you need to look for is if your DVD player does NTSC to PAL conversion, but if it can play Region 1 discs I assume that it should be able to play it.

When you see "US and Canada only" it means that disk is in NTSC and Region 1. At least that is my understanding.

Sara i'm using a Cyberhome DVD player and although when i bought it, it was a Region 2 only, i unputed a code uisng the remote to make multiregion.

It will now play DVD's from anywhere in the world.

All i suggest is that you a Scart lead when you do play the DVD's from America and Canada.
