I have an MPEG which has audio and video sync problems. These problems only occur in 1 section of the MPEG, the rest of the MPEG runs properly.
The problematic section causes the MPEG to run faster than the normal speed which is like when the fast forward button is pressed on a VCR.
How do I correct the audio and video to run at the same speed as the rest of the MPEG? What software should I use and how should I go about editing it? Hope you'll can help. Thanks.

If you do a forum search on 'correct sync' (or something like that) you'll find dozens of topics on this sort of thing.
One easy (but often effective) solution to the sort of problem you're having is to use TMPGEnc's MPEG tools to de-multiplex and then recombine (multiplex) the audio and video stream. I think this will only work with MPEG1 streams though.
If that doesn't work there are loads of other ways of trying to fix it - try searching the forum & guides, and if you need to post back here, it might be an idea to tell us exactly what sort of MPEG file you've got (MPEG1, VCD compliant, MPEG2 etc...) If you don't know these details, try using a tool like MPEG Properties or GSpot (in the tools section of this site - link on the left hand side).
' hope that helps,
mcdruid.
