I have recently noticed that on some of my dvd data backups using Princo media and a Pioneer a104 dvd writer have crc errors. These are fairly new backups and don't have any scratches that would do this. I get a error that says Cannot Copy (file name) and then says it's because of a crc.
Why is it doing this?
Can I do anything to salvage these files?
Is there a crc checking program that would tell me which discs are corrupted?
Any suggestions would be very helpful as so far no one seems to know what the solutions are.

Does somebody at least know of a program that would check for crc errors on discs, not just archives (found one that will do that).
By the way I think I posted too soon because after checking a third of my dvd backups manually I have only had one that has crc errors while trying to copy. And it is fairly scratched. I still don't see any scratches that should mess it up that much but who knows. At least the majority of my time hasn't been wasted!
