  1. How I can convert .avi to .mpg? I want to burn vcd on .avi file. How I can do that?

    You could always boot back to 9 and use my old guide

    but seriously, if the file can be opened in Quicktime Pro, then simply export it as a Toast Video CD. This requires you to have Toast Titanium installed on your computer.

  3. If you have the full version of Toast installed, it will add a export option to Quicktime called Toast VCD. Just open up your AVI in QT and export it to Toast VCD.

  6. Yes and what happens when QT can't play the audio?

    I was testing a new DVD player and tried to convert an avi cartoon I had on hand... QT plays it 1920's style (silent), and with ffmpegx (granted I'm a newbie at this), the video and sound were horribly out of sync. Any suggestions?

    Made me wonder why anyone uses avi if it has to be transcoded... what a pain.
