  1. Does anyone have a method of ripping, editing, and writing to DVD 4.7gb for a DVD9 that has multiple episodes of TV shows on it? The DVD9 in question has six episodes of a TV show and I can't figure out how to back it up while removing the extras (FBI intro, trailers, etc...). I am currently trying by using DVD Decrypter on IFO mode and ripping each PGC that represents the episodes seperately and demuxing using Decrypter. This gives me 6 file folders each with a demuxed file set. Three of the six should be able to fit on one DVDR. So I need to figure out how to combine 3 on one DVDR and 3 on another DVDR? Should I just remux each episode individually and then will burning them to the same DVDR? Will it let me see all 3 episodes? Menu?, chapter points?, how to access each episode one all 3 on DVDR?

I recently backed up all 5 DVD's for Band of Brothers. Each DVD has two PGC's. You can do the same thing for 2 or 6 PGC's per DVD. I used DVD2DVD-R. Here is what I did:

    1. Use DVD2DVD-R on each PGC, one at a time. Each PGC is between 55 - 115 minutes. I reduced the total file size by setting the MB RESERVED between 2000 -2100 for each PGC. In the SETTINGS area check FORCE ENCODE to be able to adjust the MB RESERVED value.

    2. I played the menu file for each movie (0.vob) and captured each menu as a .BMP file using POWERDVD.

    3. I saved the THEME music from the menu file. This was about 10 minutes long. Using CoolEdit2000 I reduced this down to 1 minute .WAV file. You can convert the .WAV to .AC3 using BeSweet.

    4. Using Maestro I IMPORT MEDIA ASSESTS for each PGC (.m2v & .mp2), .BMP for the menu and .WAV for theme.

    5. I created 2 MOVIES & a menu from the assests.

    6. I used CHAPTER XTRACTOR to get the chapter points for each PGC and added this to each MOVIE

    6. Compiled

    7. Burn DVD

I must say the end results are EXCELLENT!

  3. That's great except I can't get the chapters to import to maestro I get an error message: "I-Frame Insertion entry frame is not consistent with current tape frame rate! I-Frame import will be cancelled. (0xc102008b)"

    What's up with that?!
