  1. I bought a cheap stone alone DVD player (APEX) from Wal-Mart and the quality was not good. I thought was the cheap in prices, so I took it back and exchange (upgrade) to a more expensive (Sanyo) playing the same Movie. I concluded that the TV it's not Great as I was playing on my PC. BTW, the TV I was playing on was also a BRAND new I bought just to test (SONY) Trinitron 27" Vitually Flat Screen.

According to experience, a PC is the Better for Viewing DVDs movies compare to TVs.

I was wonder what is you experience?

  2. depends I have a Sony 20 inch WEGA and a Sony Trinitron 19 inch monitor so they look almost the same to me but I prefer my movies on the TV, so my PC is not being occupied

  3. hummmm this is a trick question right??....it you have a decent to superb monitor..IT WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER...pc monitors can support twice the resolution than a TV..its not all just in the resolution, but the majority of quality difference can be attributed to this..average TVs will be lucky if they 600-800 line of relsolution..you get higher on bigscreens, not talking about HDTV(havent really look at specs on it since its not mainstream enough yet), maybe around 1000 last I check which was awhile ago..but bottom line, is PC monitor is better.

  5. wait wait...are you asking for better picture quality or better experience???

quality = most likely PC monitor

experience = TV of course, kinda painful staring at a 17 inch in your office as oppose to relaxing in your recliner looking at it on a 36 inch w/ DD 5.1 or dts surround

  6. Remember, your PC monitor can only POTENTIALLY give you better video quality.

It also depends on the quality of software MPEG2 decoders, etc.
