    I tried to use VirtualDub to convert a small mpg file to DivX and view on my PPC, no problem. Then I tried to convert from a real VCD. I copied the DAT file to my harddisk and use the same VirtualDub setting and steps.

    The 1st pass was no problem, but in the 2nd pass right after the progress bar of "Parsing video stream" ended, the job quited by itself and it says "error" in the Job Control List, with no reason nor explanation. As far as I can tell, the only difference between 1st and 2nd pass was that the 1st pass has "No Audio" in the Audio option while the 2nd pass has "AVI Audio". Beside this setting everything were the same.

    So I would like to ask if anyone has similar experience? Or can offer any hint/help to me please?

    try converting the .dat to an mpeg first, and see if you have better luck.
