I make standard, compliant VCD's. Which version of TmpgEnc is best? The new version is out but I'm sure someone said v2.56 was best for VCD encoding. Any truth in this and if so where can i download it?
Cheers People.

From personal experience, I have had the best luck with v2.56. Higher versions have done basically nothing but crash on me. Mostly illegal operations with Win98.
Have not tried 2.510 -
Personnally I like TMPGEnc v 2.59 Plus. I don't make VCDs so much, but I have no problem using it on windows Me!

I totally agree with the guy using the 2.56.
I had all the possible errors using TMPGenc > 2.56 (when they changed the way to read AVI files).
Use 2.56!!
