    On this site generally another name for encoding.

    A more technical term would be "The reformatting of content, without changing the source, to another type of content - most often of a different format than the original (but does not have to be)"

    I asked earlier because I bought dvd2one a few das ago and its just such an awsome program and it coverts the movies I burn so fast i didnt think it was encoding it. I think it transcodes it. Your definition fits more to how dvd2one works. at least i think so
