I can't help but throw in this first joke.

"Your initial problem is you have a MAC." :P (feels good to let that out)

Honestly though, your ram doesn't sound bad. I mean the minimum requirements for most of what you're talking about is 64MB RAM. A G3 SHOULD have the power to process the task as well. You may want to check the media you're using and also check your process of how you're doing the burn. I had a heck of a time with a software from 321 studios once, but found out I HAD TO place all saved movies into a specificly named folder or I would always get errors.

Again, it sounds like your PC is good enough to handle it, but there may be something you're missing or not catching that's causing all the errors to happen. Try reading up on the software you have. Make sure you shut everything else running down. My "heavy duty" PC has a 3.06GHz processor and 1G PC3200 RAM with a nice new SONY DL burner (I caved in). I got an error on my first disc because my antivirus program did an autoscan during a burn. I know some people who surf the net and do all sorts of different tasks while they are burning, but as a precaution, I suggest just let the burn happen on it's own by shutting down all other programs.

If you're more technically advanced, You may also want to consider flashing your optical drive if there is a firmware update.

Hope these give you some ideas to ponder.
