Trouble burning after installing Win2k

Since I installed Win2k,I have not been able to burn an SVCD successfully.
The burner goes through the entire process,with no errors,and Windows detects a Video Cd in the drive,but my DVD player won't play it(WinDVD).I'm using CdrWin,but I'm having the same problem with music cds,using EZ CD Creator 5.My cd player will skip through tracks and even the counter works,but no sound.I can play old svcds and music cds that i burned,but nothing that I burned after installing Win2k.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
