I've been burning VCD's for a few months now.
Up until a few days ago, I haven't really had any problems.
Now I am having trouble with small sections of my video pixilating on my copies.
I am using Nero 5.5.9. I write at 4x (have a 24x burner). Am using good media (TDK music 80 min/700mb discs), and have a 48x CDRom.
There are no marks, scratches or smudges on either the disc that is being read, or the one being written too. I am writing VCD 2.0 discs.
It is not happening on every disc, or even in the same place on every disc. I just did 10 discs, and had to re-do 2 of them. Very time consuming and wastefull. One of the pluses of VCD was supposed to be no generation loss.
Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
Thought I would ask here before I spend a lot of time trying to narrow down the problem. As I said, I have been doing this for a few months with no problems until now.

Are you using Nero to encode and to burn to VCD format, or just to burn? If you are using it to encode and to burn, I suggest you use TMPGenc to encode, and then use Nero only for burning to VCD format CD. The encoder built-in to Nero is known for it's limited quality output.

I'm using it to do a disc-to-disc transfer.
Just a simple disc copy of an existing VCD.
