  1. This may have been covered somewhere else, but I can't find where.

I have an .avi file that is slightly too big for me to burn to CD, and my CD-Writer won't allow overburning of video files. So I'm trying to cut off the beginning credits using VirtualDub, but have had no success.

My question is, how do I use Virtualdub to cut (or chop off a part of) an .avi film?
I appreciate any help, so thanks in advance.

  3. *run vitualdub, press "file" and "open video file"
choose the avi file you want to cut.

*press "video" and select "direct strem copy"

*there is a cruser on the lower side of virtualdub,
use it do find the begining of the part in the movie
that you want to cut, and press the LEFT arrow (on the right)
    to mark that point .

*use the cruser again to find the end of the part that you want to cut
off, and press the RIGHT arrow (on the right) to mark that point.

now you can see that the part that you wanted to cut off is marked with
    blue color.

    *press "edit" and "delete selection".

    *save your new avi
HELL AINT A BAD PLACE TO BE
