  1. Hi
When i encode my avi to svcd mpeg2 with TMPGEnc the new mpeg stutter on playback on my dvd-player. It seems like TMPGEnc makes this. the avi-file works just fine before encoding, but not after...!!!
it´s like the movie skips e few frames on playback.... its VERY frustrating...
    like this: .......skip......skip......skip.......skip.......s kip....
if you now what i mean

anyway... is there something i can do to get around this major problem!??
i´ve tried LSX encoder with a ok result, but i find TMPGEnc better in terms of features and setting choices... or can someone tell me how to improve the quality with LSX??? I dont mind it taking longer time, i want the mpeg to be as good as it can be...!

  2. i must add that this stuttering occurs even when played on the computer... so it has nothing to do with how i burn it.
it must be the mpeg2-file that is messed up in some way...

TMPEGenc has a field order encoding setting on the "Advanced" tab

it's "supposed" to automaticlly work out the correct order
either top first or bottom first - however for me it always picks the wrong choice - try the other setting and see if things improve
