  1. i have a mpeg file (under video compression mode : mpeg - 1, source picture resolution is 352 x 240 frame reate is 29.97 bitrate is 1.15 mbps ) and convert to a svcd format using Tmpegn laterst program....( mpeg -2 480 x 480 , 29.97 , 2.52 mbps ) ................but it seems like nothing change with the original one and the quality of the movie still the same .. did not improve or better.... i read an article from net that svcd is better than vcd but dvd .. now the quality still same after create it... why ?

by using the nero to convert the mpeg file to make a svcd file... is the quality of the movie will increase and the picture of the movie?

p/ s : i would like to create a great movie from a mpeg file is there possible...?

  4. if anything...the svcd will be worse quality than the original...as it has been compressed and then recompressed meaning that the pixels are arranged differently (especially in a different format) and it will lower the quality....plus you shouldnt upsize a resolution (e.g. 352x240 to 480x480) you usually end up with a worse looking resolution even when it is reduced back to the same size for playback when this is done...i have on a few occasions converted a 352x288 PAL audio and video capture to cvd (china video disc...peopl would agree that it is better quality at the same bit rates as svcd) as it was not compressed, it was uncompressed (full frames) so it didnt have any affects like blockyness and motion blocks in it....and the end result was a vey high quality compressed cvd...

  5. 00o.. thank you for those who read my article .. i m very appreciate it .... by then to make a china video cd.. will the disc can play on any vcdplayer?

by learning this .. this just same like changing the audio format from a mp3 song to an audio song ( wave file ) that required a big file size...is that correct? at the end the audio song still sound like mp3 but not with original audio cd quality...

so by making a high quality moivie... i should get mpeg - 2 movie and conver it to become a svcd ... ( dvd to svcd ) .... can i change a avi file so svcd... ?? do i need a high avi file to change their format ?

vcd to svcd .. is not advisible
dvd to svcd is great....is that correct?
