Before asking "what am I doing wrong", you should say, what you did. At least, if you expect a reply....

  4. You need to give a little bit more detail than that...

    Was it a DivX?

    What were it's specs originally?

Has your DVD player ever played VCDs you've created before?

    etc.

    Regards.

    Hi neme1,

When you download a movie play it on your PC first to make sure it is OK. Then when you convert it to an VCD mpeg, play a little of it again before you burn the disk.

Any problems can be detected then before making a disk. Maybe the original movie was out of sync, or maybe it became out of sync when you converted it to a VCD.mpg

See if you can detect when the problem started, you don't need to convert the whole of the move, just try a few min's and stop and test the output.

Use TEMPGEnc to convert the AVI, maybe its Nero that is causing your problem.
