Just wanted to let you know that I emailed Norcent to ask where can we get the DP-300 unit...here was the response

Seems like after all the reading and reviewing this unit seems to be a
pretty good choice in the long run compared to the APEX-1500. I will
be waiting to purchase on as soon as it become available and I hope
it will be the same and the previous versions...
