  1. Is there any way to do this? There's nothing listed in the "Convert" section, and VirtualDub won't open an SVCD. Any ideas?

use TMPGEnc load your SVCD then go to File>Output To File>AVI File
then choose appropriate DivX settings for audio and video
i've never had to do convert to DivX so i wouldnt know what good DivX bitrates, etc are :/

  3. I don't know which version of TMPGenc Phat has but I tried 12a and 12h. 12a had no output to file option and 12h would not open my svcd which was made with TMPGenc 12a.

If you have the same problem or just want another idea try dvd2avi.

  4. Phat- Should tmpeg allow you to compress the avi to divx like dvd2avi?

  5. i think flask should open your svcd.
I think i did one using flask not too long ago and it open and converted fine, using low motion divx, mp3 or divx or wmv audio.

    my 2¢
