  1. I have 2 videos that i would like to convert and 1 of them is .WMV and the other is .ASF but neither of them will work in Tmpeg encoder it just gives me an error and exits. Nothing works and there doesn't seem any program that will work to do the job. Any help would be gladly accepted.

    had the same problem.

check in the tools section here, look for Stoik Video Convertor - it's a freeware that will convert .wmv to .avi, (for me on a AMD 950 / 256Mb ram it does almost realtime - 28 or 29 fps).

From the .avi, you can convert to mpg for vcd.

    good luck.

    Try this

    TMPGEnc
Option > environmental setting > VFAPI plug-in > DirectShow multi medial file reader
Right click and select higher priority, do that several times until its at the top with a value of 4, or just below any Mpeg 2 filter.

  5. I tried VFAPI plug-in and i got the exact same error that exits the program and leaves me without any progress. I also tried the Stoik video encoder and it doesn't work for me..... It just blanks out and dies..... There has to be program out there preferably a free one....
